Histotechnician/Histotechnologist (HT / HTL)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (2nd Shift, 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
Pay Rate: Negotiable (Commensurate with experience)
We are seeking a dedicated and precise Histotech to join our fast-paced laboratory team. In this role, you will prepare high-quality histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by our pathologists.
- Perform routine and special histology procedures including tissue embedding, microtomy, and routine/special staining.
- Perform IHC Staining
- Ensure surgical and cytology specimens are adequate and troubleshoot specimen quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laboratory instruments.
- Maintain strong knowledge of histology techniques and laboratory best practices.
- Credentials: Registered Histology Technician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent, or registry eligible.
- Physical: Ability to stand and walk for extensive periods and occasionally lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Pathologist Assistant
Mon-Fri 8a-5p (shift may vary)
- Specimen Handling and Processing: Prepare tissue specimens obtained from surgical procedures, biopsies, or autopsies for pathological examination. This involves gross description, dissection, and preparation of tissues for microscopic analysis.
- Data Management: Document detailed information about specimens, accurately recording their origin, handling procedures, and any pertinent clinical information for diagnostic purposes.
- Assisting Pathologists: Support pathologists during autopsies, aiding in the examination process, sample collection, and preparation of autopsy reports.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality control measures, maintaining accuracy and precision in laboratory tests, and following established protocols and standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with pathologists, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate efficient specimen handling, analysis, and reporting.
- Education and Training: Stay updated on advances in pathology techniques and procedures, participating in continuing education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Must be ASCP accredited with a min of 1 year hospital experience
- Completion of an accredited Pathologist Assistant program
- Must be able to perform grossing on large complex cases
- Strong understanding of anatomical pathology techniques and procedures
- EPIC experience is preferred

Laboratory Aide/ Data Entry Specialist
SouthEastern Pathology is looking for an honest, organized, and hardworking individual to join our team as a laboratory aide. This role includes the areas of specimen intake, data entry, specimen processing, basic instrument maintenance, departmental supply inventory, record keeping, and courier duties. The hours are Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. This is a full-time position that includes benefits.

Cytologist
Hours: 8:00-4:30
SouthEastern Pathology is seeking a full-time ASCP board certified/eligible Cytologist to join our growing private practice. We welcome applications from experienced Cytologists and those currently in training.
Job Duties/Requirements:
You will be joining a staff of 2 FT and 2 PT Cytologists. Our Cytologists cover 3 hospitals as well as in house GYN and NON GYN cases. We provide rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) for a variety of procedures including, but not limited to: Ultrasound guided/CT guided FNA/BX: Thyroid, parotid and neck masses EBUS, Robotic navigation (Ion), and EUS
