Immunohistochemistry

Immunohistochemistry is used to help determine the type, the origin and the stage of various cancers. Research has shown that specific tumor types have antigens which can be identified by their reaction to known antibodies. After processing, pathologists use these reactions to identify specific tumor cells.

Note to Physicians: Immunohistochemistry and special stains are run in-house. We use state-of-the-art equipment to process and analyze these tests including digital analysis of breast panels.
